Adams Gardens: A Mobile Park Community in Cameron County

Adams Gardens, a mobile park, is located on the Missouri Pacific Railroad off U.S. Highway 83 one mile northeast of La Feria in western Cameron County. It was incorporated in 1972. It is serviced by the Harlingen water district and receives its mail from Harlingen. In 1978, 1992, and again in 2000 Adams Gardens had an estimated population of 200. It can accommodate up to 230 dwellings. The community is governed by an elected board of directors made up of nine members and a president who is elected yearly. Children who live in Adams Gardens attend school in the La Feria school district.
