Alton North: A Growing Community in Hidalgo County

Alton North is a development located within a mile north of Alton and six miles north of Mission in southwestern Hidalgo County. This census-designated place is part of the Mission Consolidated Independent School District. The first population figures were available in 2000 when Alton North reported 5,051 residents.
