No. A phone camera doesn't produce the quality wanted for a successful FP candidacy; I explained that to you just above.
Furthermore, only File:Harmony with Bushnell Tower in the Background.jpg has a composition which may be interesting enough for a FP. Such a shot made with a DSLR and a good lens could be successful, but even if you use something like a prosumer device (e.g. Canon EOS 60D or newer) but with a simple lens (again for Canon: EF-S 18-55 IS II or EF-S 18-135mm), you have to get lucky to be able to salvage the shot downstream with software - you've got to try to hide or negate the downsides of the cheap optics (softness, chromatic aberrations, distortions).
The remainder of your samples are too bad, they would never live up to the expectations of FPC, they don't only fail because of the capturing device, but also because they aren't well-composed. Regards, Grand-Duc (talk) 05:26, 10 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

I'm new on FP nominations, and I recently cleaned up my uploads. I would like to hear some feedback on whether any of these images could be considered for FP status.

My second best ever photo

[edit]

This is my second best ever photo. I personally think it is gorgeous. Before, I took photos with a very bad SONYcamera. Now, I have switched to a Cannon. How can I improve beyond cameras? Earth605 (talk) 06:41, 14 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

This is overexposed and grainy. Unfortunately, This camera cannot handle highlight. Yann (talk) 18:05, 15 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Sunset with a smartphone? No. The quality is just not there. The lighthouse is better. Yann (talk) 18:03, 15 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Quality Photo/Featured Photo?

[edit]

Hey -

So I snapped (what I think is) a nice photo of Tokyo Skytree, but it's more creative than of any encyclopedic value. The Tokyo Skytree itself is pretty much underexposed, and the sky is doing the leg room (albeit, from a fairly nice vantage point).

The Tokyo Skytree silhouetted against a colorful dawn sky, viewed from Akasaka, Tokyo.

WDYT, and any critiques? I've done a bit of post work to bright out some colour on the buildings.

Grain is added in post due to a non-trivial amount of posterization when exporting as a JPG, but I think adds value to the photograph overall.

Much too dark. Either too late, or too early with a long pose and a tripod. Yann (talk) 17:47, 15 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Feedback on this photo of a steam locomotive

[edit]
Steam locomotive arrives in Bertsdorf

Does this picture meet the quality image requirements and if no, what needs to be better? I would like to have feedback on this picture (positive and negative). Sneeuwvlakte (talk) 17:17, 15 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi, The main issue is the composition. There are 2 poles on the middle, one cut at the top, and the other just in front of the locomotive. The light is not great, but with the winter weather, nothing much can be done about it. Poles in the middle could be a feature, but they should be carefully placed.
