Discover Ernies Acres: A Hidden Gem Near Freeport

Ernies Acres is a rural development located off Farm Road 2918, eight miles southwest of Freeport. The community is on the San Bernard River and adjacent to the San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge. The settlement may have started sometime in the 1970s, but no population estimates were available as of 2000.
