Edward Fitzgerald: Pioneer Settler of Refugio County (unknown–1850)

Edward Fitzgerald, pioneer settler of Refugio County, represented the county in the House of the Fourth Congress of the Republic of Texas, 1838–40. He moved to Texas before March 2, 1835, as a single man. On January 29, 1840, he advertised a law partnership in Aransas City with James W. Robinson. He served as tax assessor that year and was a member of the Refugio County Minute Men, a ranger company, in 1841–42. He died at Corpus Christi on September 17, 1850.
