Discover Jordan's Store: A Hidden Gem in Shelby County

Jordan's Store is a rural community located at the junction of Farm roads 139 and 2427 about fourteen miles southeast of Center and in the Sabine National Forest in southeastern Shelby County. This crossroads settlement probably developed around a local general store by the early 1900s, and by the 1930s the region included two businesses and many farms. A store was still shown on county maps in the 1960s, but no population estimates were available through 2000.
