Discover Monte Grande: A Hidden Gem in Northern Cameron County

Monte Grande is a rural community located off Farm Road 2925 about twelve miles northeast of Harlingen in northern Cameron County. The settlement existed in the late 1970s when highway maps showed one business in the area. Population figures were not available until 2000 when the census reported ninety-seven residents.
