Pinewood Estates: A Growing Residential Community in Hardin County

Pinewood Estates is located north of State Highway 105 about fourteen miles northwest of Beaumont and sixteen miles south of Kountze in southern Hardin County. This residential development probably began by the 1970s and was named for the timber in the area. In 1990 the population was 1,174. That figure increased to 1,633 residents in 2000.
