Sanctuary Community Overview - Parker County, Texas

Sanctuary is a rural residential community off State Highway 199 about sixteen miles northeast of Weatherford in northeastern Parker County. The community incorporated in the early 1980s. By 1990 the population was 234, and it increased to 256 in 2000. Sanctuary has a mayor and city council and a volunteer fire department.
