Often license plates can be transferred from older cars to newer cars. But I can see that you're right in this case about it being an 8th Generation Eldorado. --DanTD (talk) 10:01, 24 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
DanTD, according to the note for the "Datum eerste toelating" (date of first admission) on the w:RDW (organization) license plate check website: "Dit is de datum die aangeeft wanneer het voertuig voor het eerst is geregistreerd (waar ook ter wereld)." (This is the date that indicates when the vehicle was first registered (anywhere in the world).) The language indicates they look at the vehicle, not the license plate. The vehicle was imported as the "Datum eerste tenaamstelling in Nederland" (date first registered to a person in The Netherlands) and "Datum inschrijving voertuig in Nederland" (date of registration of vehicle in the Netherlands) are both 20 August 1996. So it didn't have a Dutch license plate before 1996. But I'm no expert either, I just noticed @Somegreenguy had categorized it as 8th gen and you moved it to 9th gen. As the difference was hard to tell, I looked up the license plate. Thanks for verifying it's categorized correctly now! Looks like I didn't upload the photo I took of the back. Here it is, perhaps this also makes identification easier. - Alexis Jazzping plz10:55, 24 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
This is a deletion request for the community to discuss whether the nominated page should be kept or deleted. Please voice your opinion in the linked request above. Thank you very much!
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.
Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
FWIW, I probably should have worked that out. I got there via the "undelete" category (on a "huh, what's this doing here?" basis), then failed to notice there was a deleted version, and because I was working right then in a spot where I couldn't have sound, I didn't notice that the video lacked sound. - Jmabel ! talk01:44, 24 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Could you try and figure out what happened? Clearly something must have broken down in the communication between the author and VRT Trade (talk) 11:09, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Trade, I'm not a VRT agent, I know as much as you do. Ymblanter isn't a VRT agent either, but they possibly asked one before closing the DR? (just guessing) It seems likely VRT was never contacted, or VRT hasn't created a ticket yet. If a VRT ticket existed {{Permission received}} would have been applied which would postpone deletion by 30 days. Perhaps @Alexandraaaacs1989 knows more. - Alexis Jazzping plz11:34, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Why wouldn't you have closed it? Surely you must have an opinion whether or not the deletion is warranted given your high level of activity in the DRTrade (talk) 12:07, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Trade, oh, now I see what you're saying. Ymblanter felt like you were browbeating him into closing the DR. I'm not against closing the DR. If someone tries to browbeat me into doing something, I just might refuse to do it because I don't take orders. - Alexis Jazzping plz17:30, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
The only reason I told him the conclusion of the DR was because he complained that the DR was too complicated to follow. So I took that as an invitation to provide a summary of what was going on to alleviate his complaint. I like to think the summary was unbiased but I guess he took it differently Trade (talk) 18:05, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Trade, they said they would maybe look on Feb 1 and that if they did the conclusion may still be that it's too complicated. On Feb 5 you commented "You said you would take a look on Feb 1st" which isn't what they said. So I understand Ymblanter's annoyance. - Alexis Jazzping plz18:14, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hey guys. Sorry yes there was a breakdown in communication, friend is on vacation and I don't want to bug her to get her to nag her sister to check her email. If you tentatively take it down will it be easy to restore? Alexandraaaacs1989 (talk) 19:01, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Alexandraaaacs1989, if she uses Commons:Wikimedia VRT release generator, enters the filename ("Protests in Minneapolis under one hour after the killing of Alex Pretti.webm") and follows the instructions to mail the output they'll take care of it. Note that the generator itself can't mail, she has to use her own mail account, e.g. gmail, outlook, icloud, etc. - Alexis Jazzping plz19:28, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Your suggestion, adding NOINDEX to the image, is elegant and effective.
I saw that you also took the time to look at the search results and to re-crop the derivative headshot. That was very thoughtful, thank you.
As per your directions, I emailed permissions-commons. The VRT agent said for you to do it. The ticket # is 2026021310007032.
How would you like me to proceed? Are you able to take over the ticket, or shall I send you an email using the commons email forwarder? If something else is preferred, let me know that.
@Alexis Jazz Hi again, I went back to VRT and they clarified that that while they believed I was entitled to make the request, they can't process the verification because there is no process on their end for NOINDEX requests. Would you consider, at your discretion, tagging the image as NOINDEX? CJMiller71 (talk) 15:24, 24 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
CJMiller71, I laid out my conditions and they haven't been met. Nothing has changed. VRT can verify you. This is what {{Verified account}} exists for, but they won't apply it for whatever reason. There seems to be some infighting over the matter:
@Alexis Jazz I'm very grateful for the time and energy you've spent on this and want to be as helpful as I can.
I didn't plainly ask to verify Mr Lennox's connection with this account, I instead asked to confirm that the request was on his behalf. I'll try that.
Just to confirm explicitly: you're saying if I can get the {{Verified account}} tag/status set for my account, you'll accept that as the VRT level confirmation you require?
CJMiller71, the "org" (organisation) parameter of {{Verified account}} should reflect your status as a representative. For example "LOFT Entertainment", "PR for the Stars Inc." or "Goodman Legal Services LLC". Just the company you work for. If VRT merely confirms that your name is "C. J. Miller", that wouldn't mean much. (unless C. J. Miller would be listed on the staff page of the official website for LOFT Entertainment, but I don't see a staff page) you'll accept that as the VRT level confirmation you require? If you get {{Verified account}} with the "org" parameter set to something that indicates your status as a representative for Lennox, yes. - Alexis Jazzping plz02:31, 27 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Johnkinslow, absolutely. How did we miss this? Google doesn't index threads I guess? How did you find it? Give me a moment to check for AI-shenanigans and do the work. Thanks! I'm actually thankful for the paper, gives me a color reference. - Alexis Jazzping plz04:13, 19 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Enhanced deluxeJohnkinslow, this took me a while. I think Stefanie's photo is cropped as there seems to be lens distortion concentrated in the top-left corner. After trying to work out the original dimensions I gave up and used cage transform to straighten it out. It's not perfect but hopefully nobody will notice. - Alexis Jazzping plz02:51, 21 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Awesome! It looks really good — nice job on removing the reflections. I don't notice any of the lens distortion, so I hope it's fine. Thanks for the help Johnkinslow (talk) 04:27, 21 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
