Hi HurricaneZeta,
You now have the Patroller right and may call yourself a patroller! Please take a moment to read the updated Commons:Patrol to learn how Patrolling works and how we use it to fight vandalism.
As you know already, the patrolling functionality is enabled for all edits, not just for new-page creations. This enables us to keep track of, for example, edits made by anonymous users here on Commons.
We could use your help at the Counter Vandalism Unit. For example by patrolling an Anonymous-edits checklist and checking a day-part.

Unjust map deletion
[edit]I am writing about 1350balkans.png. Post you're reffering to: https://www.reddit.com/r/EU5/comments/1qz5sqy/accurate_map_of_the_balkans_at_the_eu5_start_date/ is not post from the game. It's post from History of Balkans video done by me and POGKPP. Even author of the post mentions that. - @Polserb Apologies, I saw the subreddit name and the first few comments and assumed it was a screenshot from the game. If it's from that YouTube video, could you follow the instructions at COM:YT#Changing the licence to release it under the CC BY 4.0 license (make sure you're ok with the terms of it)? After that, file a undeletion request. However in the comments of that reddit post people are saying it's inaccurate; should an inaccurate map be passed off as fact? - Map I have done for file has several mistakes mentioned fixed. I fixed some of mistakes like Byzantine borders, territory of Morea, occupation of Bosnia etc. Also I found some of comments wrong or misunderstanrding(for example Croatia on map is not banate but a kingdom which was as an entity in PU with Hungary). Some comments also tend to complain about detailed borders meanwhile I spent time checking administrative units like župas/županijas or baronies to get borders more detailed. About EU5, there is propability that Paradox used borders from some youtube videos. It's not confirmed by solid evidence except some borders matching but that might explain why maps might look identical. Thank you for answer Polserb (talk) 23:16, 1 March 2026 (UTC)

- @Polserb Ok, but I think that map is close enough to be a derivative work. Please change the license on the video and then comment on the reddit post also saying that it's licensed under a free license of your choice, linking to that free license like I did above.
